The Nationals have been taking part in the San Diego Padres Saturday evening.
The Washington Nationals game was known as to an abrupt halt on Saturday evening after a shooting outside the stadium.
The staff confirmed there was a shooting outside the Third Base Gate at Nationals Park.
After initially telling fans to keep of their seats due to an “incident” outside, they have been then told to exit the stadium by way of the Centerfield or Right Field gates.
The game was within the backside of the sixth inning when fans heard loud pops outside the park. The game was halted as fans have been seen heading for the concourse and a few even exited the stands onto the sphere and into the dugouts.
The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department said two individuals have been shot outside the park and there didn’t seem to be an ongoing risk. Police later added two extra individuals transported themselves to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
It was not instantly clear what occurred within the shooting.
The Nationals have been shedding, 8-4, on the time the game was stopped.
The staff stated it is going to decide up the game on Sunday the place it left off with a nine-inning game. The game shall be a part of a doubleheader.
