And the retired NRL star, 32, revealed on Wednesday what that victory means for his two children, daughter Poppy, 4, and son Billy, two. 

During an look on Sunrise, host David ‘Kochie’ Koch requested Sam if his children thought he was a ‘superhero’ after his success on the course.

The former Rabbitohs nice, who was interviewed through Zoom from Thailand, chuckled: ‘I’m not positive the children have been watching all of it. They are a bit too young for that.

‘I feel they assume I’m a superhero anyway, simply with sport… they climb throughout me always.’ 

He added: ‘I’m positive when they’re sufficiently old to see it and perceive, I’m positive they are going to be proud.
