Russia demands withdrawal of NATO troops from Romania and Bulgaria

Russia demanded this Friday (21) the withdrawal of overseas NATO troops from two of its member nations, Bulgaria and Romania, as half of the measures claimed to advance a de-escalation of the Ukrainian disaster.

“There is not any ambiguity,” wrote the Russian Foreign Ministry, in response to a query written by a media outlet.

“It is about the withdrawal of overseas forces, materials and weapons, in addition to different measures, to return to the state of affairs of 1997 in nations that weren’t members of NATO on the time. This is the case of Romania and Bulgaria”, he added.
